Program Description:

Day 1 Arrival transfer from airport to the hotel. In the afternoon half day City Tour, visit the Zoo where we can find a big number of exclusive species of the region, the Ethnic-folkloric museum, the main square 24 de Septiembre, the museum of the Cathedral, we will visit the centre of the touristy interpretation of Santa Cruz, the Centre of the regional handicrafts Artecampo and the principal monuments of Santa Cruz. Overnight at 4* Hotel

Day 2 Buffet Breakfast. Full day tour to Samaipta Forte, approx. 120 km from Santa Cruz. The road drives us through the mountainous Andean areas called “Volcanes” and brings us to el Fuerte. This archeological site was build for magic rites by a pre-Incan culture. Lunch. Also we visit the archeological museum, and we can also go to swim in Las Cuevas and el Chorro waterfalls. Return to Santa Cruz. Overnight at 4* Hotel

Day 3 Buffet breakfast. Departure transfer for your return flight or for your continuing trip.

Program Description:

Day 1 Arrival transfer from airport to the hotel. Day 2 Breakfast. Early in the morning pick-up you from your hotel to start the trip to the Jesuit Missions, on route you will see the villages of Cotoca, Pailas, Pailon and Los Troncos. Refreshment on road. Arrive San Javier, visit the Church which is the oldest well-founded mission of the Jesuits (1691). Lunch. Departure to Concepción (1,5 hrs trip) where we will assess the different formats of Granite Rocks in the middle of the palms and Jungle Isles. Arrive Concepción. Night visit to the ranch where the herons sleep. Return to Concepción, visit the church and we can go to the night mass (optional). Dinner.

Day 3 Breakfast. Departure to Santa Teresita Stone at 20 minutes from the village, where we can observe the whole Chiquitan Valley. We will visit the church of Concepción, Authentic Jewel of the 18th century and the Mission Museum where we observe the different wood sculptures that local people made for the support of the church. Lunch. Return to San Javier, short stop, then continue to Santa Cruz. Overnight at 4* Hotel

Day 4 Buffet breakfast. Departure transfer for your return flight or for your continuing trip.

Tour: Bolivian Pantanal & El Tumbador Ecological Center Lodge

Commences: Puerto Suarez

Program Description:

Day 1 Reception at the airport in Puerto Suárez, transportation to El Tumbador Ecological Center. In the afternoon excursion to Laguna Cáceres, which border is situated in Puerto Suarez, it has about 80 km of surface and a variation in depth of more than 3 mts. In springtime you are able to observe an enormous colony of herons which nest on the north side and it is always possible to observe canals which are connected with the Río Paraguay, Pimienta and La Isla el Recreo, except in December and January owing to the insufficient draft. Jabirúes, Chaja´s, Yacarés, Nutrias and Capybaras are using the edge of the lagoon and it only depends of luck to run into the ones whom are looking for adequate places. The route is carried out by vehicle until the ecological center; from where we will walk on the shore until the slide. It’s recommended to bring repellent, a cap, photo camera and a raincoat. Day 2 Breakfast. Departure to make an excursion to Las Cuevas de Motacusito, which is an open passage for water in the Calcárea rock, the horizontal outline and a longitude of 80 mts. Inside the caves live a flashy fauna (vampires, amphibians, and strange species of spiders. Inside there are stalagmites and stalactites. The culmination of the trip is the underwater passage through the final inner tube searching for the opening in the rock. The trip in this terrain is by vehicle until nearby the cave, where we have a short walk. It’s recommended to take swimming clothes, a towel, a flashlight, anti-mosquito repellent and a photo camera. Lunch. In the afternoon we have an excursion to Santa Tecla. In the middle of the forest next to the Cáceres Lagoon is Santa Tecla, a hidden waterfall in between of thick vegetation the one where the apes are plentiful (4 different species) as well as the Iguanas, Toucans and hummingbirds. The water had made a deep pool in the rock with fresh and crystal clear water which gives the possibility to swim after walking. To fulfill the trip it’s possible in the afternoon to be present at the passing of thousands of white herons and morays, depending of the time of the year. We will go by vehicle until the ecological center where we will visit the enclosure of the animal recovery, the breading and cavity turtles, zoological signs etcetera. From the center we will walk through an open path in the forest to Santa Tecla and turns into the bank of the lagoon. Return in the afternoon to the hotel. Dinner. Overnight at El Tumbador Ecological center Lodge

Day 3 Breakfast. Full day excursion to Río Paraguay. The Río Paraguay flows from el Estado de Mato Grosso in Brasil to the place called Confluencia in Argentina and from the Cáceres to Río Apea, crossing the Pantanal. From Puerto Suarez it gains access to the Río Paraguay across the Tamengo canal, at 10
km. of longitude. Passing by Curumba and Ladario we are reaching a section of the river which is not often used passage where we will search for Yacarés, Capybaras, jabirus, Herons and Anacondas which are resting and feed themselves in the banks right in the heart of the Pantanal. We will follow our trip by vehicle till the ecological center and from this point we will travel through the Cáceres lagoon, the Tamengo canal and the Río Paraguay, by canoe to a hotel on the bank where we will eat fresh fish. Before and after lunch we will prospect the banks and look for the typical fauna of the Pantanal.
When it’s getting dark we will return to the ecological center. Dinner. Overnight at El Tumbador Ecological center Lodge.

Day 4 Breakfast. Transport to the airport.
